Coding: Introduction

Basic web development skills serve as the foundation of all effective websites. Regardless of whether you're building a simple web page or an entire website, the building blocks are the same.

We'll apply these skills to a simple web page project. It is suggested that you complete each of the Try It activites that you see in yellow boxes throughout the page. As we move through this section, chapters from Elizabeth Castro's book HTML, XHTML, & CSS (6th Edition) will be highlighted. Be sure to read these chapters as you move through each page. You also may wish to check the website that goes with the book.
