Student Pages
Children and teens love the Internet. Many students are developing pages on their own at home, while others are creating pages at school.

The key to successful student pages is the level of involvement of learners. Get them excited about web page development by showing them lots of models. Then, give them a specific assignment, but let them have free rein within the parameters of the project. Although you might choose different colors, graphics, or fonts, let students explore and try out their ideas. Once they feel comfortable developing and maintaining a page, review design guidelines and provide specific ideas for improving the content and design of the pages.
Rather than making web development a one-shot project, make it a regular part of what your children do in the classroom or at home.
If you do a Google search for a grade level or subject area and add the words "student web projects" you can find examples like Student Projects from Harrisonburg City Public Schools, VA.
