Regardless of your grade level or content area there are many ways to enhance learning by connecting pictures and words.

Since the beginning of time, people have communicated in many ways. The Native Americans used pictographs, petroglyphs and rock art like the ones at Hueco Tanks in Texas as a means of expression. Today we have digital glyphs. Digital means to express through a computer. Glyphs implies a visual symbol that imparts information.
