photograph of Sherry GickSherry Gick is the Library and Instructional Technology Specialist for Rossville Consolidated Schools. After five years of working and teaching daily in the middle/high school library, she now oversees assistants in both the elementary and middle/high school libraries and is responsible for helping the K-12 staff move toward integrating technology into daily lessons as the corporation becomes a 1:1 system. Sherry also teaches a high school film production class.

She is a member of the Indiana Library Federation (ILF), American Library Association (ALA), American Association of School Librarians (AASL) and the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE). Sherry is the AISLE-ISTE board representative for 2014-2016. She is also the President-Elect for the Librarians Network of ISTE. She is passionate about genrefication and has presented on this topic at ILF and AASL conferences.

In June 2013, Sherry was awarded the ISTE-SIGMS Primary Technology Innovation Award for a collaboration project with a 3rd grade class at her school as well as with a partnering school library and class in Maryland:
Earth Pals: A TEDxElementary Project with Matthew C. Winner, The Busy Librarian. This collaborative project evolved in 2014 into GeniusCon (http://geniuscon.weebly.com/)

Sherry was named ILF's Outstanding New School Librarian for 2013. She is an active member of the Teacher-Librarian community (http://tlvirtualcafe.wikispaces.com/) and is an anchor for the monthly live TL News show (http://tlvirtualcafe.wikispaces.com/).
