Silver Dollar City Annette, Arrion, Alex, and Grandma Nancy all spend a wonderful spring day at Silver Dollar City.
|
Our day began with silver dollar pancakes at the breakfast buffet followed by a game of checkers as we left the restaurant. |
Favorite Features It's fun having a baby around. Everyone wanted to play with Alex. Annette enjoyed taking Alex for a ride on the Frogs. |
The Train Alex is a huge fan of trains, so we took the first train ride of the day. |
Water Rides Although Alex is too young for the big water rides, he loves watching the boats go by. Arrion and Alex like to play the "spray the boat" game. |
Big Boy Rides Annette and Arrion took Alex on his first "big boy" ride on the balloons. As you can see, he took the ride very seriously. He had a great time and was ready to go again as soon as we got off. However Annette can only handle going on "circle rides" once before needing a rest. |
Our next stop was the classic Merry-Go-Round. Alex was a pro at this ride and knew exactly what to do. He even began waving as he went by the audience. |
Tom Sawyer Playground After the carousel, we stopped at the slide before heading to the Tom Sawyer playground. Annette and Alex climbed to the top and worked their way through the maze. |
Alex's feet are still too small to walk alone on the netting, so Annette had to carry him most of the way.
It was a good test of Annette's flexibility.
|
One of the highlights of the Tom Sawyer area was a trip down the slide. Annette and Arrion took turns carrying Alex to the top one of the four slides. |
|
Water Pumps One of Alex's favorite activities is to watch how the water pump works. He was amazed every time the water came out of the bright red pump into the wood trough. |
|
Petting Area Our last stop was the animal petting area. Alex loved playing with the bunnies and baby goats. We had a hard time pulling him away from all the fun. |
