Jamestown While Annette was in Virginia doing workshops, she took a day off to visit Jamestown and Yorktown. Historic Jamestowne The first stop was the Historic Jamestowne. The park interpreters and rangers were very interesting and helpful.

Part of the National Park Service, the area is under construction as part of the plans for the 400th anniversary in 2007. The museum is already opened and filled with interesting exhibits. |
Although it was raining, Annette decided to stop at the Jamestown Settlement. The Powhatan Indian Village was particularly interesting. Visitors can walk inside the houses and examine the artifacts. Interpreters are available to answer questions. |
After the rain stopped, Annette headed down to the dock to see the ships. Again, it was interesting to be able to walk onto the ship and examine the historical reproductions. |
