Sedimentary Rocks

Conglomerate, gypsum, limestone, sandstone, and shale are a few examples of sedimentary rocks. As small pieces of earth are eroded by wind and water, they wash downstream. These tiny pieces of dirt are layered on top of each other. Over time, the layers are pressed together to form rock.
