Text Box: State Media Fair successful once again
Text Box: On Saturday, April 17th, over 1,000 parents and student participants came together to compete for the State Text Box: Media Fair sponsored by the Association of Indiana Media Educators.
Students competed in ten different events ranging from multimedia presentations to photographic essays. To participate at the state level, students first had to win at one of nine regional media fairs that were held this winter.
Over seventy judges from around the state also helped to make this event successful (including Denise Brinker, AMS, Dennis Text Box: LeLoup, Sycamore, Elizabeth Winningham, AIS, and Amy Keller, AHS). Working in a team approach, it was their responsibility to determine the Best in Category for each division. Students were then awarded with ribbons and plaques to commemorate their achievement.
The Band Boosters also ran a concession stand throughout the day. This was very helpful for visitors who traveled from all over the state. It wasn’t necessary to leave the Text Box: Student Ambassadors were extremely helpful in getting participants to their room assignments.
