- Selecting
Technology Tools
-
- There are dozens of technology tools
that could be used in a student project.
Before selecting a tool, ask yourself:
What is the message? Who is the audience?
What tool will best communicate the ideas
of the project? Do students need to
publish or present the information? What
is the form of the communication? Is it
paper or screen based text? Is live or
recorded audio needed? Are still or motion
visuals essential?
-
- Select a tool that will accomplish the
goals, but will not require a lot of new
technology skills. For example, KidPix is
a simple package for drawing pictures and
writing simple text. The Thanksgiving
project is a simple example of a
KidPix project.
