Flat Stanley Adventures

Annette, Arrion, and Flat Stanley went to China, Japan, and Korea in November 2002. We took our notepad and camera, along with your ideas about where we should go and what we should do. We'll be adding new installments of our adventure over the next month!

Flat Stanley's Mission

Here are some of the things that people would like to have us do on our trip:

  • Photograph American products with foreign language words such as Coke and McDonalds.
  • Photograph children in other countries.
  • Look at children's books from other countries.
  • Use the GPS to mark locations of places like the Great Wall of China, so people can find them on the map.
  • Take pictures of small businesses in other countries.
  • Photograph "everyday" objects and events in other countries.

Thanks to all the people who participated in this project.

Thanks to all the people who agreed to be photographed with Flat. We were particularly grateful to the enthusiasm of the American Airlines employees!
